Yes and I think it's signposted Acomb Industrial Estate? You can actually do a circular route when you get to the bottom of the lane if you're feeling adventurous (see map).

A bit nervous beforehand but the deed has been done. 5 deg C water temp this morning and that officially makes me an ice swimmer 👏 🏊 ❄️

If you can walk or get to Acomb it's another 10 mins down the lane to the river (turn at Henderson's wood yard). It's much nicer visiting in the Summer though.

Headed into #Hexham for some odds and sods. Managed a peek inside the old #gaol (built 1332 to lock up those Border Reiver rascals and other rotters) where Hexham Art Club were exhibiting their efforts. A jolly lot and bought some raffle tickets. Drawn at 3pm so guess I didn't win?

We missed Storm Catarina by a whisker 🍀 and with the exception of a 10 minute torrent at midday today has been a fabulous mid November day in the Algarve 🇵🇹.

Out for a breath of fresh air after a busy domestic day. This route was on one of our local Covid era walks and I can remember trying to lift the catch off this gate using two sticks we were all so paranoid. It seems quite comical now.

The bathlessroom. We left it out to make the decorator's life easier. Bathlessroom fitter has been paid and now on holiday. Let's hope he comes back or it could be buckets of hot water in the garage on bath nights.
