i think we should destroy every clock and im not sure if im 49 or 51% joking but i think the expectation for perfect keeping of time has been genuinely harmful to most people and a method of maintaining control by penalizing lost minutes while the powerful literally disregard it and do whatever

If Iran has to abandon Tehran it’ll be the most dramatic demonstration that climate change is here. Even for the capital city of a major regional power. There were failures of prep due to Iran’s particular politics. But in various unique ways that can happen in any water scarce place.

Just as invasive species from other continents are causing major problems for ecosystems here, so are some of our best-loved native plants and animals doing the same elsewhere.
