We are all tested at some point, as individuals, as societies, and as institutions. When things don't go the way we want, or even know is right, it's frankly immature to immediately jump to talk about "rubble". Whose responsibility is it, ultimately, to hold institutions to account, 2/

I don't think this is a fruitful line of argument at this point. Frustration, anger, and despair are understandable. But blaming those who truly respect what are good, if imperfect institutions, is self-indulgent and short-sighted. The institutions need to be bolstered and clarified. 1/

They're neither. They're too addled by their own egos to truly appreciate what "technology" and "science" really are. For them, these are just totems and fetishes for imposing their will on others.
