The Chukchi Sea is approaching ice-over, though substantial areas of now disconnected open water remain. With colder weather this week, ice will grow. Ice is also growing out from the coast in the Bering Sea, and ice extent is near the 1991-2020 median for the end of November. #akwx #Arctic #seaIce

In the latest Global Carbon Budget, the estimate of the ocean carbon sink was increased by 0.8 Gt of CO₂ due to methodological changes.

Each mCDR deployment aims to remove a tiny fraction of that, so if people think we have the methodology to do proper MRV for mCDR right now, they're delusional. 🌊
