Safety starts with knowledge 📚
With support from a Pacesetter Grant, Elizabeth Hendrickson, M.D., PGY-5 PEM fellow, hosted a toddler safety shower at the Lovelady Center. Families received hands-on education and safety kits to help create safer home environments!💪 💚

A new UAB and Children’s of Alabama study led pediatric endocrinology fellow Mary Margaret Barr, M.D., shows that a mother’s health during pregnancy—especially with gestational diabetes—may influence child’s body weight into adolescence! 💡
