Magic Poser for web is such a handy tool to figure out some rough poses and where general lighting could fall on a figure - even down to the way shadows are cast on the ground.
It's not completely anatomically sound if you're a stickler like me, good enough to get started.

Magic Poser for web is such a handy tool to figure out some rough poses and where general lighting could fall on a figure - even down to the way shadows are cast on the ground.
It's not completely anatomically sound if you're a stickler like me, good enough to get started.
