tried to describe myself from A to Z but only got as far as A for apathetic and gave up. Couldn’t be arsed. A pessimist is never disappointed
It’s an odd position to take because every person, every animal, every creature has its own tolerance to temperature. I have two dachshunds, one doesn’t seem to notice the cold, the other really doesn’t fancy it below about 4 degrees C but is okay wearing a jacket.

Yeah like hearing somebody tell you you’re great, you’re a champ etc as if it’s not just a generic message to whoever happens to hear it, rather than specifically being addressed to you for a particular reason. As if just singing a song about being strong is actually what makes you strong

There was a social media post about this the other day, which appeared to be from the boy’s mum and they had suspected he’d made a mistake but he went as Elvis anyway and it didn’t turn out well. Now I’m wondering whether either the post or the story itself are entirely true

There’s the transparency aspect where it has to be seen to be conducted randomly and impartially, although there will always be suggestions of the draw being rigged if it comes out in a particular way. But that doesn’t justify all the extra ‘entertainment’ and sideshow

Let’s see whether they ever award another one. I sure don’t remember it ever being a thing until Trump threw his toys out of the pram because he didn’t win a real one

People would watch if it had a commentary from Graham Norton (or even an AI-emulation of Terry Wogan)

For the most part it does feel like people making a lot out of what somebody was like as a kid, which is as close as I get to ever having any sympathy whatsoever for Farage. However some of the things people have said do suggest he was more than just a kid who found racist jokes funny in the 80s

Everyone thinks their voice sounds strange when they hear it back. It sounds different in your own head, partly because of bone conduction (that’s how it was explained to me) and partly because you’re only half-listening to yourself as you talk, you’re concentrating more on what you are going to say

Being pedantic, the saying was that hardly anyone bought the first album, but everyone who did started a band. Supposedly said by Brian Eno but he claims not to remember it. Chapeau for knowing it was something like that anyway

This is a really entertaining listen. It’s all interviews and a recording of him giving evidence to a Congress enquiry about obscenity laws, but he’s absolutely in his element

I like it, although I do wonder why the choir felt it necessary to practice all year long to sing “ding dong ding dong ding dong ding dong ding dong ding dong ding dong ding dong ding dong ding dong ding dong ding dong ding dong ding dong ding dong ding dong ding dong ding dong ding dong ding dong d
