Heady days! My interest in all things FidoNet faltered when I got a shell account at a local technical college. Looking back I wish it hadn't, but the call of IRC was too strong. I helped run the #newbies channel on Underneath for a long time..

I had a Hayes or maybe it was a Zoom. After I discovered the C64 war boards. I was hooked. Much later, when I started running my own BBS, I switched to USR Couriers because I could get a good deal on them as a sysop plus they were upgradable. Those early days were a lot of fun!

I ran a 4-line FidoNet BBS in the 90s (on OS/2 Warp no less). Loved it.
