That BBC News tech/gaming journo with the silly name, follow me for tech, rabbits and dyspraxia chat + constant references to a funny grief podcast about my dad dying: Our Dads Died: https://linktr.ee/ourdadsdied
Facebook coming at me with my dad asking me for help from beyond the grave lol

Whatever your problems are up there big man, I seriously doubt I’m gonna be able to help

From back before I was in the vids myself and I was more behind-the-scenes, I snuck this in to our Steam Deck review

Lola and Brakes exploring/scent marking their new house… they’ve already decided who gets the upstairs bunk lol

Not being able to turn on the TV for screen time reasons has led to the need for alternative arrangements

Not to pile on The Verge but guys you’ve got to do something about these ads on mobile. They’re absurd.

And I guess thanks really to the editors and writers who worked on NOM/ONM back in the day. I wonder what they’re up to now.

I found a bunch more magazines too. It’s crazy how much these things shape us. Back then I thought I’d be the luckiest person in the world if I got paid to play video games for a living. That’s a (very small) part of my job now, but I think it every day.

This magazine did not hold back when they hated something lol… imagine describing a game as pointless!

Here’s the Super Mario 64 DS review. I wanted this game so much and this console that I sold my Pikachu N64. Years later my then-fiancée now-wife would buy me one for Christmas. I LOVE it!

This advert is something I would’ve wished I could afford back then when it was £5 a pack. I shudder to think what it costs now. It must be hundreds.

This magazine is a treasure trove of history. The contents alone fill me with nostalgia like I’m 15 years old at my friends house going on his trampoline again. Me and him are going on holiday later this year despite having kids now!

I just found the Nintendo magazine from 2005 that inspired me to go into journalism. 20 years later I’m on the BBC previewing Nintendo’s latest console the Switch 2. I literally had the cliche school teacher telling me it was a pipe dream back then because I’m disabled. Pipe dream this, Miss.

Me and my wife got each other identical cards for our 15 year anniversary.

And somehow we both completely failed to notice they’re actually leaving cards not love cards lol!

(Waddle I do without you —-> What’ll I do without you)

What are the chances lol

Just two days until phase 1 of the bonding is complete and their run doubles in size! Should I film it when they explore the new space?

If you don’t know, rabbits aren’t like other pets when it comes to making friends. You can’t just add one into another’s space. You have to “bond” them slowly over time, gradually introducing them to each other in a small space until they can be left alone safely.

But the results are so worth it

This photo is one of the better gags I got past editors…

My interview with Sega president Shuji Utsumi:

Sega considering Netflix-like game subscription service www.bbc.com/news/article...

And once you’ve read that, here’s a thread with my thoughts and a few things that didn’t make the article
