All thoughts are intrusive
I'm convinced that Clinton's administration (and particularly people like Summers) did more to break this country than Reagan. They made selling out people to corporate interests the mainstream democratic position

I think the Quiet Man had a scene where John Wayne does pure cigarette acting. No dialog. Lite a smoke. One puff thought. Throw away and exit to action.

Peaky Blinders has to hold some sort of modern record for the cinematic use of cigarettes

Schumer has sucked as leader for years. But no one in the caucus wants that job or thinks they can win that job. Boggles my dang mind

Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job

Right-wing art is and has always been garbage. Not that financial success indicates quality. Plenty of douchy artists, but stuff that is really made as a conscious expression of that worldview is just not good

What is this chump's base of support other than his patronage network? Do any Democrats outside that network see him as a successful leader? Do any Republicans see him as a dangerous adversary? Make it make sense

Every democratic senator and representative should have a primary opponent who has leadership change as their number one issue

The moderate position is fundamentally about being afraid. Of losing the respect of your tribe. Of losing your place in society. Of losing your self image. Risk aversion is fundamental to the moderate position

Jeffries is a lame ass. The house doesn't have this problem because a minority there can't do anything. They can always vote for the solidarity position and MAYBE the freedom caucus nut bars give them a winning position
November 10, 2025 at 2:39 AM
Resign. You know your "action" will fail. Republicans already voted to repeal ACA subsidies. They now have no reason to change their position

More likely someone else is falling on the sword. The yes votes almost certainly don't overlap the true yes votes completely

Hope some enterprising news org is able to identify every ass being covered by these dogs

I hope we find out whose ass he's covering

Joined the DSA a couple weeks ago. Won't fund any candidate that can't get an endorsement

Elections only matter if the bed-shitters are forced to sleep in it. If the Democrats continue to change and wash the linens, the same people will be at it next November

It's nice language. But if the admin goes ahead and terminates a bunch of people, does it hold up to review by this court. Or do they just say, no, the administration can manage staffing of the agencies it administers
