I need to amend the previous statement. Wagner controls more territory in Russia than Russia occupies in Eastern Ukraine. Crimea is huge. Here’s a map. Red is occupied Eastern Ukraine, purple is occupied Russia.

June 16, 2013 Update: I’m actually quite surprised the troop numbers are not higher. Yesterday there was a significant strike on a large group of Russian soldiers who were waiting hours for their commander to give a motivational speech. I heard hundreds were killed with that one HIMARS attack.
