I view achieving large research grants, past a certain quality threshold, as largely being driven by luck. This time luck was on my side. It many others, it was not.
I am grateful to the people who mentored me, provided letters of support, and served as blind referees for this project

I'm all for constructive comments of published work. The Commentator has a different conclusion of the identified effects in Study 2 than us and that's OK.
I'm less for language expressing intent or long social media posts discussing authors' motives.
