We’ve been feeding the neighborhood doves for a couple years now. So happy it’s fledgling season again so I can watch these derpy guys grow! #addBirder

A mourning dove side eyes me while staying warm in my window feeder that I lined with an old pillow case and some hay bedding Two mourning doves fluff up their bodies to stay warm while watching someone shovel their parkway 5 mourning doves eating their weight in nutritious seed in order to survive these low temps One mourning dove in the window box, one dove trying to get in. They’re not great at sharing lol

3 mourning doves looking at me from the flower box I feed them from. Their expressions look slightly judgmental 3 mourning doves look at me through the window from the flower box I use to feed them. The dove farthest to the left has pressed her tail against my window. Their expressions say they’ve been caught doing something they shouldn’t be doing

I don’t have kids yet but I do have a cantankerous ancient dog with every medical problem known to man and I’m friends with a wild mourning dove who visits me everyday, so I’m pretty sure I’m winning at life.
