Yeah pretty much. I believe that the barrier to entry to most fields shouldn't be gate-kept by financial barriers. God only knows how many fucking Einstein's we've lost cause they couldn't afford to get educated.

40 years of neoliberalism's impact on the labor force. Simply put, there aren't enough skilled US citizens to do a lot of skilled work because we've incentivized ROI in education. Produces a lot of lawyers and business majors, not so many chemists.

I work in a highly technical industry and we are dependent on H1b visa labor. The USA has chronically underinvested in higher Education, passing a lot of the financial burden on to students, who as you say have to make a rational choice about school spending vs future earnings. We cannot just undo

Trump is the figurehead for a political movement in the United States that seeks to overturn the political and social gains the working class has made since the late 19th century.

As the past ten years have shown, reach of this anti-new-deal coalition is bigger than trump.

It's a cross section of the position of the van Allen belts relative to the earth.

The post indicates the combined wealth of 916 people is in the trillions. It could probably be worded better.

White americans will accept any level of oppression so long as everyone else has it visibly worse.
November 12, 2025 at 2:19 AM
Lol came here to say something similar. The Dems clearly caved, and now you and I pay the price so they can cosplay as an opposition party while doing no effective opposition.

Norway has seen effective labor action against musk, his anti-worker response has tarnished Tesla's image in the country, and there is an ever increasing field of competitors since Norway isn't engaged in actively stacking the market in his favor over other manufacturers.
November 12, 2025 at 2:09 AM
While Tesla is an extreme example, most American corporations by virtue of their governance structure and incentives towards short term gains eventually get absurdly top heavy and have 0 restraint from the board because any consequences executives face are dwarfed by the money they received.

Psh. Fake news.

Where did you obtain this weapon and how can I get my own?

Omg Disney just let them die. Should have ended in 3 when they all accepted their inevitable deaths in the trash shredder.

I mean, even RHEL, the mostest corporate Linux which also has ai integration, is lighter than win11.

I had to look this up and I'm disappointed that hot allostatic load isn't about cis men's uncontrollable lust for D.
November 11, 2025 at 11:46 PM
That would make sense. I still am compelled to use windows at work and their use case for copilot seems to be "some day this will be good"

Would have rather they worked on reducing system overhead.

What, can a therapist compile c# while also providing a sleek gnome-based interface?

Doubt it.
November 11, 2025 at 10:07 PM
Yeah there's been an influx for sure. I've been using Linux long enough that it seems like pretty much every time MS changes versions there's an influx, but the 10->11 transition for whatever reason really does seem more intense.
November 11, 2025 at 10:04 PM
Yeah I was going to say, only the 00s had this silver chunky plastic look.
November 11, 2025 at 10:02 PM
Yeesh, when was this produced?
November 11, 2025 at 9:36 PM
Lol, I'm in the middle of writing a tutorial script for first time Linux users with this assumption in mind.

I'm nowhere near done though :(

I wish I had some resources to offer at this time but other suggestions in this thread are probably more pertinent.
