That's fabulous. I believe the site of the Alhambra Theatre is now the Odeon Leicester Square.

I saw him, as Mr Pugh's Puppet Theatre, support Eric Clapton at the ABC in Blackpool in August 1976. I also saw Mr Pugh's Puppet Theatre support Ian Dury & The Blockheads at UEA in Norwich in May 1979, when What A Waste was out - I actually worked on that gig. Crazy stuff!

That's Graham Chapman in the Hell's Grannies sketch. I think it was ian episode of Monty Python's first season on telly.

Ah, not so actually. I was in a band, appropriately named The Flaming Moes, and the singer Dave Byrne knew every word and always did it word-perfect every time we gigged it. Also of interest with that band, our bassist was called Brian Wilson. I kid you not!

Well there you go! They can build on that. Most footballers are nomads nowadays anyway, albeit money-grabbing nomads!

I'm up for that, deffo. Sadly, I don't think FIFA would stump up the necessary greenbacks to get even the basic stadia infrastructure in place. (Don't need state of the art grounds, costing zillions of $$$$$, in place to hold decent footy comps.) Would be fab for such a country to hold the world cup
