Book 4 is a bonus map, basically a boss rush. Actually super hard, and I had to take it very slowly and certainly not deathless. But we did it!

Ok i played Book 2 of CD.
It's definitely better than Book 1 I think, I might just like the units in this one more.
While it was nice not having to deal with broken enemy mages, not having the broken Freeze 3 made the final boss WAY harder (I needed to look up a guide, LOL) but i got thru it.

Ok i played Book 2 of CD.
It's definitely better than Book 1 I think, I might just like the units in this one more.

Shining Force CD Book 1 done.
This is the one where you use Claude. That is the game. you get bird, power him up, and hit hard.
I think the gaiden games are "technically" the most balanced in regards to HP/damage/magic, but I definitely wish I could hit harder with my units.

Another Shining Force game down, this time it’s Sword of Hajya on the Game Gear.
It’s fun, love the characters, but the 2nd half of the game is pretty crippled by a glitch making one of the spells way too powerful for both you and enemies. Nonetheless, still a good time!

Rekindling old friendships makes me so happy.
Started a weekly hangout with my old friend since middle school, and we're gonna race luigi's mansion 100%. Did a first derust run today, and it was a blast (he won by 4 mins).

This is the first SF game I encountered where the later units were consistently better than the early game units when I picked them up. Not by much, but always a little bit stronger. Also the first game where an archer is actually really good. Play this game!
