pretty sure there was an "I think you should leave" sketch about this...
A few days ago they recalled a 2 million cars because of self-driving issues, which was largely met with claims of “it’s just a software fix.” Today Reuters says steering columns, suspensions, and wheel assemblies are failing and falling off new Teslas, and I don’t imagine software can patch that

Playstation cutting off Twitter integration is maybe the single most "oh that site is fuckin DYING" thing I've seen so far

Twitter integration was such an easy no brainer thing that provided constant cheap marketing and fan engagement for games and publishers

The line between reality and a fictional world created by Hideo Kojima continued to blur today as a guy whose name is almost "Sam Bankman-Fraud" was convicted for pushing a scam currency.

Well... made it through another work week. Weekends have long since stopped being restful bookends to the week, but I still look forward to them. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Newsletter going out tomorrow: tttooooni.substack.com

It's less doomy-gloomy than the last one and has more cool videos shared at the end.

My big plan of working towards "liking autumn" has failed. Seasonal affective disorder + anxiety teamed up to knock my positive outlook on its ass.

As well-meaning publishers try to navigate the coming storm of state laws against diversity, I hope they'll consider Timothy Snyder's Rule #1 (from his slim book ON TYRANNY).

Whole Earth Catalog is organized all neatly on archive.org. I am SO EXCITED. I've been searching for individual issues here and there and it was possible but difficult. Now it's all JUST THERE: wholeearth.info

This is like one of my nerdiest wishes coming true lol

Ok. I'm seriously tired of Western creators doing this, so here is a thread about why you shouldn't give any shout-outs to russian creators right now and why Little Big are responsible for Putin's regime. (shocking right? but hear me out!)

Two interesting things today:
1. russian propaganda really putting on their party hats after this morning's events in Israel
2. some (few) other russians see this and are having an "are we the bad guys?!" reaction.

truly hilarious (in a "finding comedy in tragedy" kind of way).

"Companies fucking around leaping blindly into the AI hype bubble and finding out they don't have even a tiny fraction of the twisted imaginations necessary to understand what they're unleashing" is my new favorite headline genre

(it's for a terrible reason) but I find all the Americans losing their shit over the emergency alert relatable and hilarious. :D

Perfect @dublininquirer.bsky.social article about the cork bags used to soften the landing of beer kegs being delivered to pubs around the city

inspired by some sensitive "urban listening"

I started (well, "re-started") writing a newsletter.
It's one of the few "creative output" things in 10-ish years that I'm actually happy with and see myself sticking with (i.e. doing consistently).

I'd love it if you were there next time I send out an email:

осьо сижу вже декілька тижнів з думкою, що повністью проєбав останні 10 років в плані "бути собою". типу, настільки проєбав, що довелось дістати з архіву старі відео/фото/щоденники щоб взагалі згадати, чи була у мене колись (і якщо так, яка?) personality чи я завжди просто "був" та і все.

oh look, the unsurprising "be scared of Putin and Russia" take from @nytimes.com. Seems like them and Reuters are head to head in the "russian propaganda in western media" race!
Well, the @nytimes.com just did his job for him.
