Not a surprise when Bernie's amendment to allow the importation of cheaper prescription drugs from Canada was voted down during Trump 1.0, with several Dems voting against it. Dems whose votes were influenced by contributions from pharmaceutical companies.

Last night, on the Rachel Maddow Show, Bernie gave us three things we should demand from all candidates:

The elites called FDR a “traitor to his class.”

Major surviving programs and legislation implemented under Roosevelt include the Securities and Exchange Commission, the National Labor Relations Act, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, and Social Security.

I think it makes sense when one views it not about the physical act of the oath, but the fact that the House makes the sole determination of the winner of an election. It must happen in the House chamber, while it's in session, so Members may raise challenges; absent those, they may be sworn in.

Amen to Tony Clark sharing what he knows!! It is important that we learn the facts from experts instead of picking up bits and pieces from possibly unsavory sources. We can count propaganda spewing politicians as “unsavory sources”

Cheers for sharing the info.

Navigating the American government system has been a bit of a head case since I took an avid interest in it.

Hats off to the people who understand it all.

I am starting to understand the constitution, the house etc.

Amen!! This needs to be added to the Constitution! And any politician that doesn’t support it, doesn’t plan on serving their constituents, or the American people, and shouldn’t be elected anyway. This needs to be a litmus test… whether or not politicians will vote to make this happen.

If we’re being honest, trumps IQ hovers somewhere around his number in the presidential lineup. 47 may even be pushing it. How could someone so morally bankrupt and utterly stupid end up as our president? We already know, but it’s still mind boggling.
