It’s been a a warm, lingering sort of autumn and we’re still blooming and harvesting. We picked probably 15 tomatoes last week. In November. In Chicago. Shocking

This is our second summer in the house with the criminally neglected garden, and the day lilies are blooming. They were a ragged mess covered in weeds and ivy when our adventure began 🌱

🌱my bellflower plant is significantly smaller than last year but still producing pretty flowers. Maybe it’s just having an off year

Dianthus looking good this morning. Cicadas are starting to infest the day lilies but not much else. Here’s hoping that trend continues
