Standing up to a tyrant - who is willing to impose pain as leverage to compel loyalty or acquiescence - is hard. You can convince yourself that yielding stops the pain and brings you back to "normal".

I love dumb boxes.
Anything above 500 billion should be taxed $2 on the $1. And I don’t want any of that, it’s not cash BS. TAX THE EVER LOVING POOP OUT OF THESE PEOPLE.

one of the most insane thing about partisan politics is that Republicans are allowed to say "these four million American citizens shouldn't get the representation they are entitled because it would be politically inconvenient for us" and nobody bats an eye

One of my low-key favorite parts of the Mamdani campaign is that he walks around the city. People who love cities walk around their cities, but few political candidates do so.
