On Friday, Governor Scott issued an Executive Order that will allow families with children and “medically vulnerable” adults to stay in the motel program through June 30th — about 400 households of the 1,429 vulnerable households currently residing in the motels. 1/6

Incarcerated labor is still labor. Just because incarcerated people choose work options and because they are grateful to be working instead of remaining in the facility, does negate the false choice it remains. All labor is valuable and deserves dignity and fair pay. 1/4

I began working at UVM in 1996. My salary has always been considered lower middle class but was manageable within Burlington’s cost of living at the time. That is no longer the case. My salary has only reached $61K to date. I bring more than 30 years of professional experience to my position. 1/5

The VT legislature has never reached true gender parity. With the election of more Republicans to both chambers this year, the imbalance becomes even more pronounced . As reported by @vtdigger, we must watch the impact of injecting more white dudes into policy process for the next 2 years. #vtpoli
