Today in the December Comfort Watches: Trading Places, a tale of disparate classes coming together during the holiday season to do what's important: Punish rich dickheads! Also, remembering Eddie Murphy's rise as a generational talent in comedy:

I'm not sure it's in the self interest of America's tech bro billionaires to suggest that we bring back public executions to punish the most destructive people in our society.
A Palantir billionaire just called for public hangings.

“It's time to bring back masculine leadership to protect our most vulnerable,” writes Joe Lonsdale.

This is where Silicon Valley authoritarianism is heading:

Just your daily reminder of why the system is broken and entirely against you.

"No taxation without representation."

So if you pay no taxes, who you think is representing you...

people died for birthright citizenship. i get that it’s more fun to be a pundit when your team has the white house and you get to brag to friends about visiting the oval office; but what i’m wondering is if maybe that’s actually not a good reason to throw away something we fought a civil war to win?

I don’t know who I’m waiting to die of natural causes more at this point, my grandmother or the current president.

(At least my grandma’s finally been put in a nursing home, thankfully. The current president just should be in one.)

Can't believe our tax dollars are going to be spent settling the upcoming exorbitant defamation suit with Sabrina Carpenter, but maybe this is just how public arts funding is going to work now.
Sabrina Carpenter ratioed the White House after it used her song in an ICE video.

The WH deleted the post…but now it’s back with a new ICE video, this time using an altered clip from Carpenter’s SNL monologue.
