(seriously though it's actually so good and you should watch it)

This is probably the closest thing I've done to making a "new film" since I graduated from film school, and I'm proud of what it's amounted to. Very niche, but I think pretty neat!

Soooo much better than I ever expected (and I didn't even really know who the guy was until a few months ago). Watch it like a new blockbuster musical! Have fun!

BIG, LOUD, BOLD, IMPORTANT messaging. A film that isn't afraid to speak its mind plainly enough that there's no room for debate.

I'm left someone startled by how unwieldily it handles its messaging around Israel and how absolutely no one is talking about it. A film with impeccable crafts that go towards messaging I find myself deeply conflicted by. That ending doesn't help :/

Both are so fundamentally innovative while maintaining a beautiful simplicity to their design. I suspect both will go down as sleeper legends!

Beautifully expressive animation, some of the best music of the year, and a story that knows how to bring so much heart out of such a simple premise. Watch it! 📽

Strange Darling was a good time, Dahomey was effectively inventive, and Humanist Vampire Seeking Consenting Suicidal Person was maybe the most Quebecois film I've ever seen (positive)

This is the first somewhat sizable success I've had with the channel, and the hope is that things can snowball from here. Either way, those big ambitions are feeling a little more possible today :)

Saw the latter today and there's just something in its methodology that really worked for me. #filmsky

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the master of slow cinema crafted the greatest film about queer loneliness I've ever seen. A delicate film about quiet longing, the desire to belong, to be loved, to understand oneself. Never ceases to bring me to my own sort of quiet contemplation.
