Ouch. I’m going to see the Chilliwack Chiefs vs Surrey Eagles who are 1, 2 in the standings. And I moved from Surrey to Chilliwack. Should be fun.

Hmm. I guess I won’t be using the new machine soon. I thought about just starting clean and letting iCloud do its magic, but I don’t want to lose stuff I didn’t put on iCloud.

So excited for dinner tonight. I finally found bucatini-I’ve been looking for 4 yrs-and making Marcella Hazan’s simple tomato, butter, onion sauce. Yeah the salad is from a bag, but I cooked up some chicken tenders to mix in.

Low and slow. Usually I use my InstantPot on “soup” to make stock, but I had way too much turkey carcass to get enough stock for turkey soup. So kickin’ it old school today.

As I finished watching the video, the quote grabbed me first, I was reminded of Steve Pratt's great book Earn It & this graph. No one ever breaks the mold playing it safe. Nor can you really reboot an entire company without this kind of break from the past.

Out of the oven. Look good, but oddly never got to 220C. I took them out so they wouldn’t get too brown.

Getting ready to bake bread for the first time in a long while. Doing a simple white bread. My daughter has a friend coming over who’s never had homemade bread. 😱 Gotta fix that!

At my daughter’s school they have the Golden Gotcha where kids are “caught” showing kindness, being a positive presence in the school, etc. The reward is a pizza lunch with the principal (who is awesome & a Star Wars geek). This is the certificate. Fellow geeks, notice the issue?

My daughter won tickets to our our local minor league hockey team. It’s her first hockey game. She’s been so excited to go since she won them yesterday. And I’m really happy to go with her. Chilliwack Chiefs vs Nanaimo Clippers.

Ooohh. Monument Valley 2 is out from Netflix! I really love the games they offer subscribers. Smart I think.
