I don’t listen to him either, I find him totally obnoxious - but in the car, on way down A1, and OH said he’d like to leave it on as interested. Finally turned it off in disgust at his bullying tone and aggression.. not acceptable in any shape or form.

This article is so removed from everyday reality for the average person, if I spent nearly £300 on an item of clothing - or even a third of that - I’d be having the vapours! There’s a whole different world out there obviously - but one I’m really glad not to be a part of…

Just wondering why, and at what point, did some individuals become so plain bitter, twisted and nasty? Was it always in their characters, or do they think it makes them superior? Imagine living life like that…

When I hit 65 and was about to retire, my husband persuaded me to have a personal trainer - ‘til then I’d never even been in a gym. I shall be 74 in November - 9 years in, I’m fitter than I’ve ever been, lift weights (PB 95kg), skip, box, do a mean burpee - and it’s such fun! Age is just a number….

I was reading about this yesterday evening and thought just how wonderful it was - and it made me think how many similar miracles could be worked, were it not for ego/power trips inflicted on us by the rich, short-sighted and vain members of our society. Those riches could be put to such good use…

Why this man is not locked up and under supervision, I shall never understand - he’s totally batty and yet we get all his inane ramblings reported by the media as if they were actual words of wisdom. It was bad enough first time around, but now he’s just totally barking!

One of our main TV channels has plans - ‘Channel 4 to mark Trump’s UK visit with ‘longest uninterrupted reel of untruths’ - broadcaster to dedicate Wednesday night schedule to unpicking US president’s false or misleading statements.

Good on them, need more of this - although my biggest surprise is that the moronic orange grandpa would go somewhere like that to eat something quite so healthy as seafood - do they also serve burgers and ketchup?

I find this whole thread quite bizarre, given that the USA currently has an orange convicted felon and senile grandpa wreaking havoc everywhere and shutting down anything and everything that doesn’t worship him as the second coming. I think in this instance ‘tis better to reflect on hat.

I am beyond weary of all this manufactured rage - as an ordinary older English couple we have friends from other nationalities, friends who are Hindu, Muslim, Jewish, Jehovah’s Witnesses, vegan, vegetarian, carnivores - the list goes on. Normal folk, normal conversation, no one taking offence.

Very sad though that it is necessary for grown up, decent leaders of other countries to have to turn up and protect the brave President of Ukraine from harassment, hostility and bullying from the current infantile occupant of the White House. Let’s say it like it is….
