I basically always just draw myself in my default style (True Colors) and try to be relatively accurate to myself. So when I met a bunch of SpiderForest people at SPX this year it was very validating that SEVERAL people said “you look just like your Discord avatar” lmao

This year #SpiderForest did a group event where we all made tarot cards of our webcomics! I picked Wheel of Fortune because it's all about change, cycles, fate, and decisive moments in life. It's also full of symbolism and so is True Colors!

I have a whole completed comic just sitting there! Granted, it’s a multimedia one that I’d have to do some not-insignificant conversions to translate to print. But getting to share it with new audiences makes that even more exciting!

I was invited to design the printed walking tour maps for my neighborhood's tour of homes! I used to design a TON of maps when I worked in tourism, and this project made me honestly miss the process of map-making, they're kinda fun and chill. Maybe you'll see more cartographical pursuits soon......?

This is what I do for prompt lists now. This one is kinda themed around my webcomics for a community thing, but in general I just use a random word generator and pick words that feel broad and general enough to do something fun with later.

My boyfriend recently said “you’re SUCH a cartoon character” and I think that’s probably a good encapsulation of it. I don’t take myself terribly seriously and I can be a LOT, bordering on annoying, which is either your thing or it’s not!

Also, I can have a LOT of feelings sometimes 😅 ♋️

Actually, Spectrum (the main LGBTQ org at the University of Alabama) was a MAJOR influence on the QSA in my webcomic True Colors. Like Iro, it took me time and exposure to learn that queer identity is about more than just rigid labels and stereotypes. No wonder they want to remove spaces like this.

I had the pleasure of coming up with a new logo design for the Mobile AL Brunch Fest! The logo went through several rounds of concepts and drafts before we finally landed on the singular fleur-de-lis mimosa flute as an elegant and playful nod to Mobile's culture. The drafts still make me hungry tho!
