big set of electric RCS engines

resting on a neutron star... the gravity pulls down like a weighted blanket, the surface is warm and the little millimetre-scale deviations are fun to run your fingers across, the view above is a hypnotising cascade of blueshifted starlight rushing overhead

27th century spacers

Then, in the bottom right corner: "Spacers are one of the more ambitious human genetic engineering projects to come out of the Wildfire Sequence. While most other projects were more interested in "improving" the base human design (sometimes these were legitimate improvements, like a better ability to fight cancer. Other times it was just eugenics), Spacers were one of the first attempts to design a body plan that excels in a specific environment. Techlord Otok Garliste announced the project in late 2522. The logic followed that by eliminating the necessity of artificial gravity, ships could save mass by no longer carrying complex centrifuges. 12 years later, and after many moral atrocities (some prototype designs didn't last more than a year outside of artificial wombs, others still were born with all manner of deformities), the project was announced a success. Over the coming decades Spacers would diffuse throughout society to the point of ubiquity. Towards the end of the Wildfire Sequence, Otok Garliste was unceremoniously executed alongside a few other techlords, during the coup of Frexdan Orbital 01 in 2570. Unfortunately the person who pulled the trigger was not a Spacer themselves. Spacers in the modern day prefer to live under 0.1 to 0.3 gees. Actually living in freefall is generally considered a pain in the ass, and is only done when necessary."

Evening on a snowy unsuccessfully terraformed Mars

star formation is kinda expected to fall off a cliff by ~1,000 Gyr so maybe it's more like 14 year old kid vs, idk, the Byzantine Empire (i'm not a big history knower). but still...

Proxima Centauri g's opinion on the matter

Top left: A very hot (~2000 K) brown dwarf, glowing bright orange/yellow from blackbody radiation. Its atmosphere is full of all sorts of metals and hydrides and so on. Top middle: Below ~1100 K methane is permitted to form in a brown dwarf's atmosphere. Methane appears blue, combined with the dull glow from blackbody radiation this makes the dwarf appear that familiar magenta. Top right: <800 K, now that it is no longer glowing the brown dwarf turns blue from methane absorption - assuming there's no haze. Middle left: From 700 K - 250 K it's possible a haze of sulphur can develop that turns the dwarf tan or beige. Middle: At 350 K - 170 K clouds of water can form that turn the dwarf white, possibly with a yellow or brown tinge depending on how much haze is present. Middle right: From 180 K - 80 K clouds of ammonia and ammonium hydrosulphide can appear, turning the dwarf orange or creamish. Bottom left: Back to purely methane absorption, which again turns the dwarf blue/cyan. Similar to Uranus and Neptune. Bottom middle: At ~20 K it gets so cold even the methane freezes out, leaving only hydrogen and helium behind. The dwarf appears white due to Rayleigh scattering, which is usually most effective for blue light but in this case light keeps travelling deeper into the object until even the longer wavelengths are reflected back out. Bottom right: ≲14 K the hydrogen itself freezes, turning the brown dwarf into a huge ball of solid hydrogen ice. A highly compressed atmosphere of helium remains. The brown dwarf retains its high surface gravity of hundreds of gees, combined with the cold temperature this causes the atmosphere to have a scale height of only a few meters. Eventually, by ~0.8 K, even the helium will freeze up too. The coldest types shown here likely do not exist in nature yet, but in the far future as things cool down they could come about.

galaxy groups and clusters have merged into huge elliptical galaxies that glow dim red-orange. the average distance between galaxies is ~100 Mly (due to technology the expansion of the universe has been halted)

Chart comparing the amount of various resources on the Moon, and how many TWh each resource could produce if one mined all of it from the Moon. Helium-3 is right at the bottom, between 163 and 57.5 TWh. Meanwhile resources like uranium, plutonium, and thorium are at the top - with thousands of TWh.
