PubMed had some disruption in adding records this week, apparently recovering on Wednesday with over 9,800 records in one day. But if you have a Plan B for critical searches, maybe start using it... 1/2

Just met with a Doctoral Researcher, discussing searching in Business Source Premier. There’re so many things I used to do in EBSCO databases that are now more complex in the new platform. I’ve written about lots here, but will be adding to my list of areas in need of improvement (mentally anyway).
EBSCO changes: adjusting and preparing

I’ve been thinking lots recently about saving literature searches in databases: how I do this & why, especially for #systematicreview, & focusing at the moment on EBSCO databases (as we move to a new database platform). I’ve been writing about this in 2 new blog posts, the first is this #AliceWrites

It is wild to me how much GenAI is being pushed in #medlibs land considering half my colleagues can't use Google, can't open blog websites, and are working in places that still use old operating systems for security reasons.

IT won't let you collab on a Google doc but somehow ChatGPT is safe?

Potentially catastrophic behind-the-scenes news about the Network of the National Library of Medicine (www.nnlm.gov) shared with me today.

While some NNLM host institutions were able to float the offices while funding was paused or delayed in 2025... it is unlikely that happens again.
