I also finished this one today and...oh boy...this one is a mixed beast. If you want a good, comprehensive look at this family during the Italian Renaissance this is the book for you. It spares no detail and really gives you a full picture of what these people were like for good and ill. But...

And I have finished book number 2 of this year; The Last God: Book I of the Fellspyre Chronicles. It's a comic written by Marvel and DC writer Phillip Kennedy Johnson. I actually met him at Baltimore Comic Con and his wife was actually the one who sold me on it, (he was at a panel at the time)...
