Yeah, this is more accurate. 420 is a lot closer the the sort of brain rot that spawned 67. At least with 42 you can assume that those who understand the reference read books. Not necessarily the case with 67 or 420.

I can’t afford to buy everything I read and mostly read library ebooks. Was talking to my sister about that and she recalled reading something that said apps like Libby were detrimental to authors in a way traditional library loans aren’t, but couldn’t recall details. Any truth to that?

It's probably a re-badged Sig Saur P320. The handgun so bad even non gun enthusiasts know it sucks. The gun that even ICE won't use.

Maybe if we all just think "rage stroke" *really* hard...

Kinda funny, in retrospect, but I was a little bit too sheltered to watch this movie at the age I was when it was released.

I remember briefly, buying into the whole "vehicular cycling" crap, when I was a newbie bike commuter. Then I read another book written by a messenger, that was like, "Nah, fuck that shit. You need to ride in a manner that will keep you *alive*, laws be damned.", which made a lot more sense to me.

Hello fellow old. ;) Had never seen that chart, but immediately recognized the art, and was about to post a similar reply.

One of the many reasons I hate Newsom. The "Idaho stop" went before the voters in CA, and we approved it, only to have that slimeball veto it.

Recently posted a hypothetical asking for opinions on potentially not allowing Meta Ray-Bans into my home. Many of the responses were, "Meh. Your house, your rules. But you are being kind of weird." and the attitude that *I'm* the weird one, and not the dude with the pedoglasses alarmed me.

That "nicely done" from the chief is what really gets me. It's like, "No shit, asshole. Maybe show your worthless fucking employees, so they can see how to actually gather evidence."

I'm not a heavy mobile terminal user (If I'm working in the terminal I'm typically at my desk.) but I've used Blink shell with mosh a fair bit, and it's worked well enough when I've needed it.

Tbf, I don't think anyone was under the impression that Rob Schneider was all that bright to begin with. ;)

My kids are at a new school this year. I was talking to one of the other dads at a recent b-day party and noticed he was wearing these. Not really knowing anyone there, and not wanting to alienate the entire parent group, I just slinked away and avoided that guy for the rest of the party.

Have had similar thoughts. Esp32 or esp8266 board and a portable battery pack doesn't cost much.

For those who'd prefer to not deauth *all the things*, anyone know which of these MAC prefixes Ring cams use?

Or maybe these?

Still rockin' my iPhone12 from 2020, and too broke to upgrade any time soon. Back glass has been cracked for at least a year or two, so it's no longer water resistant, but otherwise works normally. The cracks are covered up by a case anyway.

Flashing back to the time, not that long ago, when my 80 yo dad fell and bruised his ribs while trying to follow my 6yo son over an obstacle on a mountain bike.

I know my wife's and my mom's cell. The only # I remember from the beforetimes is our old home phone, which is still my parents' landline. We've had our kids (7 and 9) memorize our cell numbers, and our home address. Dunno if this is a normal parent thing or a weird GenX quirk.
