The Samaritan reading tradition takes *אלהי as cstr. of sing. אלה rather than of אלהים (The Samaritan Pentateuch, Florentin and Tal, p. 50).
It looks like there an instance of this in the Secunda as well:

Would this work to vocalize ancient Hebrew texts with historical pronunciation? I'd love in any thoughts, critiques, corrections, etc. Ideally, I'd like to have a system for vocalizing all Canaanite and Aramaic texts in alphabetic script up to c. 200CE. #ancienthebrew #canaanite #aramaic
