I've done the same in the past but this year's hit me really hard so I was *trying* to go a bunch of places and get food leftovers that I could take home, that way I had good meals for the week. But I ended just going to go to 2 fast food places. That's all I could manage before it got overwhelming.

I'm assuming we reside in different locational demographics. I have lived in this military city for 10 years and never once has any restaurant, even fast food ones, gotten folks in and out that quick. Your situation doesn't invalidate others lived experiences though I'm glad you had such short lines

I can relate. I get a tiny bit more wiggle room at the end of the month but not much. Disability is my primary income source and it barely keeps me above water, lately it hasn't even done that because shit cost so much now.

There are countless other local ways to donate. Speak to church and community leaders, and see what they can do to help those most in need. Now is the time for the community to come together for one another.
