From their perspective, buttons that the user would interact with more are on the right side, it's good for one hand operations. Specially if the screen can be woken from a double tap while it's shut.

The AI button being so different should feel different to the touch not to make the mistake...

I didn't mention OS because it didn't matter which operating system you had... Your antenna is transmitting it's ID regardless of iOS system settings. Similar solutions had been used in the UK to know how often a client visited a shop. Don't take my word for it, look it up

What I'm saying is that your data is already being collected... During the Covid outbreak, your Bluetooth antenna was all that was needed to track that you have been in contact with an infected person.

Think minimum effort, why hack end devices when you can hack databases, social media, servers...

The fact that GDPR was introduced in 2018 mostly in Europe only is all you need to know about that it's already too late. Like when have law makers ever been quick to react.
