This really shouldn't need to be said, but you aren't getting under Elon Musk's skin by paying to use his website and posting criticism of him.

By doing so you give the impression that 'both sides' have a voice on the platform. Just stop.

Appreciate the sentiment, but the only action I will support in terms of activity on that platform is deactivation. He can slag off Musk all he likes, but at the end of the day, he’s funding him by using the platform. Everyone needs to get off of it.

Can we stop going on Elon Musk's website, paying for a blue check and then saying how much we hate him please?

This isn't rebellious or 'trolling', it's just driving engagement on his site and giving people a reason to stay.
Stephen King has returned to Twitter.

10/10.

No notes.

In future generations, when your children and grandchildren look back on this moment, they are not going to ask about the price of eggs. They are going to ask you what you did. Not what you felt. Not what you paid. But what you did. And I want to be able to say I did everything I possibly could.

How to beat Elon Musk

Step 1: Go to X dot Com
Step 2: Create an account
Step 3: Pay for a subscription to increase your reach
Step 4: Make it premium (you need grok for help)
Step 5: Make a post mocking Elon
Step 6: Link it to your friends/audience
Step 7: Brag about how mad this will make him

Yes. This happens over and over and then everyone pretends it didn't
Leftwing downplaying of the GOP candidate in order to be justified in attacking the Dem candidate - Susan Sarandon disease if you will - was a prominent, arguably decisive feature of the 2000, 2016, and 2024 elections.

How Democratic influencers (and politicians) look when they complain about Elon's influence but simply have no choice but to continue posting on Twitter.

Just saw someone saying “please share so I can have more followers so I can finally stop posting on Twitter where I have a lot of followers”

May I suggest two simple steps to achieve this,

1. Stop posting there and delete your account there

2. Post here

If you still post on Twitter you are complicit in lining Elon Musk's pockets and enabling what he's doing.

This is genuinely an important article. The two main lessons from Hungary appear to be:

DO NOT WAIT

DO NOT UNDERREACT

Authoritarians like Orban and Trump rely on opposition being unwilling to believe that what is happening is actually happening. That’s their window.

I think the Dem base’s anger at elected Dems for their bizarre, paralyzed accommodationism is building much faster than anyone realizes. Pressure rising, explosion may be imminent

Trump has signed an executive order declassifying files regarding JFK, RFK, and MLK Jr.

Weird how he didn't include Epstein in that list.

I still believe the "anti-imperialist" tankie crowd (including Jill Stein) won't say a word to condemn this.
Fox’s Jesse Watters: “The fact that Canada 🇨🇦 doesn’t want us to take them over makes me want to invade. I want to quench my imperialist thirst.”

Fox is poison, exhibit infinity.

I really don't like the tone of this post.

America isn't a dictatorship YET, stop treating it like one and pre-emptively conceding power. There are plenty of avenues for people to take to stop overreach, it's not a foregone conclusion.

Trump/Musk want to disenfranchise you, don't let them.
Dear World,

We’re sorry.

Sincerely,

America is in the midst of a fascistic takeover by a group of billionaires, and yet people still use one of the social media sites that they own.

Sorry, but people need to have more personal responsibility and stop using that site.
