We eat together on Friday every year because of work schedules, so tonight was baking night for me: bourbon chocolate pecan pie, egg free pumpkin pie, and bourbon pear with crumb topping.

Some people put a note on their mirror with their mantras, I apparently got mine tattooed on my arm.

Originally got it because I resonated with Yellowcard’s song “Here I Am Alive” but it really is a mantra.

I’m still here.
I’ve made it this far.
It’s a new day, and I can do better than yesterday.

Nothing helps to affirm my queerness than being around other queer people. The energy, the conversation, everything about it just makes me feel more at home in my own skin, I miss living in a city where that was common/possible

Anyway, here’s my new Chao tattoo, done by an incredible trans artist.

This gif sums up the world right now. Feels like everything is just going sideways, politically, personally, and to my close friends and family, and it’s just exhausting.

I’m so tired of the bad news ya’ll.

Working on breaking the cycle of not liking my work enough to show to people, but also needing critique, so here’s a ‘trace’ of a picture I took of my nephew. Still a WIP but not sure where to go from here.

I need to stop getting anthologies, because my brain refuses to let me switch to another book, even in between stories.

I LOVE Le Guin but I also love changing genres every 200-300 pages, not 800+ 😭

Been feeling depressed lately, turns out some beautiful weather and some water can help. A lot.

And the next planned blackout is in mid-April, with other smaller ones in the meantime.

We need to start planning, organizing, and spreading the word now, so the next one has a bigger impact.

Also hammer them with support requests, they clearly aren’t getting swamped enough because I already got a canned ass response:
