I swear the warm here feels warmer and the cold colder. The cold chills me to my bones, and I grew up in Upstate New York where it was regularly below zero degrees (F and C) AND snowing constantly. It’s so bad here 😭

I’m used to it in English, I still call my best friend‘s mom Mrs. Last name, and I’ve known her half my life! But in German it just confuses me and I wish we could stick to one or the other in the conversation 😭

Berufsschule**

In my Berufsschuke the teachers refer to us with Du and we should refer to them with Sie. Talk about confusing 🫠

Pair this with constantly being asked if I wanna leave Germany and it feel really meh

I know more about trans men‘s experiences than trans women‘s or nonbinary people’s, bc I am one, but I know my nonbinary and trans femme friends have similar bad experiences with wider conversations about gender and inequality in German speaking spaces. Anyway. Thread/rant over.
