I work with college freshman in art and anytime a female student gushes to me about how important their high school art teacher was it makes me so incredibly uncomfortable. My HS girlfriend was repeatedly abused by her art teacher but insisted he was a good man that had helped her discover herself.

And yet they want to target trans people. It aint the trans folks and it aint the bathroom. It’s so clearly and understandably just men in the spaces they feel most comfortable to be monsters in.

I just say my full name loudly the way a DJ introducing me as part of a wedding party might say it. Most telemarketers think it’s a recording and just hang up. An excellent alternative to “Hello.”
