The Trump Administration is a political satire come true. #neverforget
As our nation girds for possible Iranian terrorist attacks, this is the person Trump put in charge of terrorism prevention.

22 years old. Recent work experience: landscaping/grocery clerk.

Never worked a day in counter-terrorism. But he’s a BIG Trump fan. So he got the job.

1. He voted for Trump's budget bill with huge Medicaid cuts.
2. He doesn't show up for town halls.
3. He has at least three Democratic challengers in the 2026 midterms.

Rewriting history doesn’t change it and there are too many of us dedicated to undoing this administration’s attempts to erase parts of American history they don’t like.

Here's how it works:

1. DOGE fires everybody at USIP.
2. A DOGE guy from GSA gets installed USIP's acting president.
3. That guy agrees to transfer USIP's $500 million headquarters back to GSA—for free.

It's critical for everyone to remember what an Executive Order is. It is the President communicating orders to members of the executive branch. Policies to pursue, actions to take, etc. They are not laws. They are not close to being laws. They are formalized memos to employees. That's all.

There’s always that one person in the group chat who communicates 50% in emoji. We made that person the National Security Adviser.

A typical human story. Acceptance of abuse invites more abuse, even if retaliation can be costly. People are warier of people who hit back.
Two Republican senators told me tonight this vote shows they can execute the same strategy again — cut Democrats out of the negotiations on a gov’t funding bill, pass it thru the House, and expect Senate Dems to back down and not filibuster it.

“We liked it over here,” one said.

Seems about right.
Just so we’re all following

1) Elon spends ~$300M to elect Trump

2) Trump gives him the federal government

3) Elon guts the agencies that regulate his companies

4) Trump holds an infomercial for Elon’s cars on the White House lawn

5) Elon gives Trump another $100M

Measles cases in Texas and New Mexico now number over 250, with two deaths being linked to the outbreak. (For comparison, the US had 285 cases of measles in all of 2024).

Measles isn't just a rash. For @wired.com, I wrote about why the disease can be so deadly: www.wired.com/story/this-i...
