Apparently, that's the Westin Bonaventure in LA. I can see the similarities. That's from 1976, about the same era. And given that it's in LA, probably more likely to have influenced George Lucas and his set designers.

What's even better is that I know exactly where this photo was taken from, and it's a kind of skyway that goes from one side of the atrium to the other, which is even more Obi-Wan-ish. You can see it towards the back here.
