It's a little on the nose but it has to be this for me - I even tried to make it work in a rat deck but the horror was really all mine on that front

Almost 17 years to the day after replacing and oil furnace with a heat pump, this beauty has just replaced a natural gas furnace. They've gotten a lot smaller!

Been over a decade since moving from the house with the first one so have to remember set points and difference between day and night etc

For me it's Tatyova, and I sleep just fine at night comboing off with things that let me play extra lands and take extra turns to use all those cards.

Learned about Nuts'amat at a powerful talk by Shannon Waters at First Nations Climate Gathering yesterday in a session on health that included excellent presentations from Sarah Henderson and Dylan Clark as well.

@colinmahony.bsky.social just gave an impactful presentation at the First Nations Climate Gathering finishing with three legs to the #adaptation stool for forests explicitly tying decarbonisation to the ability to adapt plus local forest resilience as well as social cohesion - cool stuff

For #adaptation if you're concerned GHG emissions in SSP5-8.5 are unrealistically high SSP3-7.0 is now available on ClimateData.ca which you might want to consider (as well). Some important details incl caveats on role of aerosols in this scenario available at climatedata.ca/new-ssp3-7-0...

For #saucesunday one of my all time favs: Kaminari by Paolo made in Japan with Carolina reaper, malted rice & yuzu - on my Asian inspired pizza... ok with beets, olives, and eggplant too but base is miso gochuchang bbq pizza sauce. Big chunk of ginger was an accident but looking forward to it 😀

Start your engines! Aetherdrift pre-release last night was the most 1 and 2 drops I've ever played in sealed. Also pictured is @lordhosk.bsky.social after being run over.

P.S. climate follows, this is a @magic.wizards.com post - best card game ever.

For my first #saucesunday post: black label Valentina which my family teases me for putting on anything not Mexican but I love it on Mediterranean dishes like this vegan scramble - recipe by @isachandra.bsky.social with some additions.

Colleagues at ECCC are forecasting 1.45 ± 0.10°C above pre-industrial levels for 2025, slightly cooler than the record high temperature of 1.55°C of 2024 but virtually certain to be hotter than every year on record prior to 2023 #climatechange

Climate change wrapped in a burrito of... sincerity!? I think if it's a roast the sincerity is supposed to mean like trying too hard or something? Or is AI just bad at Errr wait am I overthinking this? I'm doing the thing right now!

This would be it for one no one has heard of (or at least nowhere near as widespread as deserved). Without that restriction front runners are The Matrix, The Wall, Lost Boys, and Flatliners.

If you are going to Adaptation Futures in Montréal next week join me and Kari Tyler in the last session of the first day on facilitating an adaptation mindset. Hat tip to @davidmcraney.bsky.social for inspiring the importance of this in climate services to crystalize for me.
