We’re playing mini mini golf and if you don’t know what is, it appears you haven’t read the classic graphic novel Two Headed Chicken

My dog Winnie is not super big into cuddling. But I bet you can create a thermometer on the basis of her inclination to cuddle - if it gets cold she’ll get snuggly all over a sudden. I bet she thinks of me like a big oven which is fair because I think of her like a big pillow. It’s called love.

Grading student papers has made me a lot better detecting chatGPT generated content; one of its primary characteristics is repetition of the same phrases, word for word.
@wsj.com I may have to refer you to the academic standards committee.

I forgot to mention the worst thing about playing against these bots-masquerading-as-humans! While they couldn’t be bothered to create more human sounding names than ‘difficult_boost653’ but they did bother to make the bots wait before taking their turn… that’s right - these bots ‘sleep’!
October 21, 2024 at 3:44 PM
I’ve been seeing it around recently - you look to join a multi player game, presumably with other humans and instead you get an army of bots. It’s a classic case of ‘each one in isolation but looking at them as a group exposes the shallowness of the whole business’

A goat chewing on a sign that says the goats won’t eat certain things is a meta commentary about the futility and illusion of humanity’s fantasy of control over nature

Update: moving on from alchemy my buddy turned go physics which is shockingly similar to alchemy. He also abused his vaccination when I had no knowledge of biology so I had to re-develop prehistoric agriculture just so my people don’t die of preventable diseases.
This game is just brilliant.

Some people say Innovation from Carl Chudyk is not super thematic civ game but I disagree - when your buddy goes all in on alchemy and gets lucky while you power down their castles with gunpowder - that’s theme to me! @asmadigames.bsky.social

not a big solo gamer and not a huge fan of multiplayer solitaire so the roll and write trend kind of passed me by. Super skill pinball 4cade however is a gem - one of the few games I’ll play alone and is a favorite to play with me son, in the soft competitive category, by @gengelstein.bsky.social

Finally got around to hanging up our family motto.
February 1, 2024 at 3:54 PM
One of the reasons I struggle to enjoy game played with a standard deck of cards is my strong preference for the thematic connection offered by modern games. I rarely love the purely abstract but there are exception: Red7 by @asmadigames.bsky.social is the rule-setting game that breaks that rule.

Dall-E, create an image of a grading party please.
Here you go.
Can you make it where the people are a little older and a lot less happy?
Sure, here you go.
Ah, much better.

Gosh there are so many. Really took me down the rabbit hole of looking up SO MANY DIFFERENT shirts you can by with variants of 'it's in the syllabus'.

Any response that dehumanizes a group of human being or encourages indiscriminate violence against children, are horribly wrong.
