Your beliefs are regularly challenged because you offer stupid ideas and room temperature takes. Like, this isn't a flex.

It's also extremely clear to its residents that The Bronx is being "cleaned up" to attract investors and capital, in the same vein that Brooklyn was.

The Bronx is also segregated, and it is very obvious if you look at a transit map.

The Bronx is divided into quadrants, with two massive highways being the dividers. They effectively work as walls that keep the unwanted out, a la redlining.

Mind you, this is the city that birthed Hip Hop, is home to the New York Yankees, the New York Botanical Garden, which has one of the largest collections of botanical texts, and The Bronx Zoo, one of the largest zoos in the country.

I like to talk about The Bronx with a topic like this, partly because it's my city, but also because it's a great example.

The Bronx, a stone's throw from the financial, fashion, theater, and overall culture capital of the world, is home to the poorest congressional district in the country.

The city has some of the highest wealth discrepancies in the entire country, where about 25% of the city's population of over 8 million people live below the poverty line. It's also where one of the largest concentrations of wealth in the world accumulates.

It's not a coincidence that Schumer, the leader, voted no, but Durbin, the whip, voted yes. It's also not a coincidence that everyone who voted yes is either retiring or is not up for reelection until 2028.

This was a calculated move by Schumer; those senators were only chosen to fall on the sword.

It took them 40 days of starving people for them to realize that? Are they stupid or something?
