We NEED a Cabaret program for Orihara and Pirinen: starts with “Willkommen” (Juho shines) then transitions to “Don’t Tell Mama” (Yuka’s turn to shine) then “The Money Song” (both shine) then back to “Willkommen” for character step and end of program!!! It’s not a want it’s a need! #figureskating

Guignard/Fabbri robot program has come a long way, but one small change I think would help: adding back the “My name is Charlene/Marco” intros and a generic robot voice saying something like “program to: Love.” It would inject some needed personality and seal the story. #GPFinal #GPFigure

One of my issues with Lajoie/Lagha’s FD is I think the music has an emotional build way too early into the program, like within the first 30 seconds. Compare to Yuma’s Sound of Silence where we are made to wait so long for the build that it really pays off. #GPFigure #GPFinal

I can’t get over how spectacular Fear & Gibson’s costumes are. The brownish-plum/purple hue that changes depending on the light, the matching plum lining under her skirt/inside his jacket. Some of the best ice dance costumes I’ve ever seen. #GPFinal #FearGibson

WE NEED SOMEONE ON THE GROUND AT #GPFinal TO INTERVENE! PLEASE tell the camera operators that this is the ONLY type of shot we need. We need to see the skaters’ whole bodies with a little space around them. We do NOT need close-ups and we do not need shots simulating watching from the last row!!!

Another “no feather-feathery” costume! In a previous post I shouted out Sarah Everhardt’s, and this time I’m shouting out JunHwan Cha’s! I love the shredded fabric “feathery” effect, the layering and the overall billowy-ness. Another gorgeous figure skating costume made without harming birds! 👏🏻🦚

Adam Siao Him Fa has unfortunately withdrawn from the ISU Grand Prix Final following an ankle injury. He is advised to take a three weeks rest to better prepare for the European and World championships. This probably means that Mikhail Shaidorov will take his spot.

I have not been a huge ZingNik fan in the past (mostly because of their programs) but am completely captivated by this free dance. Can’t stop thinking about it. Love seeing a softer, more romantic side, the modern dance influence and intensity #FinlandiaTrophy #GPFigure

Piper showed her strength in a big way today at #FinlandiaTropy —staying upright when Paul essentially fell at her feet and finishing the program with a seemingly unfazed commitment to the performance. Really impressed #GPFigure
