Cassie Ramone and The Pains of Being Pure at Heart in Glasgow tonight. This would have been a dream gig for me in 2009 but I don’t think either played Ireland then. So good to see them both tonight ❤️

Having a fantastic time at #SHSConf2025 at the wonderful @bclivingmuseum.bsky.social in Dudley (best conference venue ever). Have heard some excellent papers and got to explore the museum in between. More conferences need to be in living history museums!

Feeling full of life again after seeing Sparks last night in Glasgow. Hard not to feel energised and inspired after seeing Ron and Russell. Amazing gig 🤩

Fantastic paper by Sarah Mason (Edinburgh) at the Scottish Oral History Centre this afternoon on ‘Gatekeepers: navigating control access and influence. Considerations for the oral historian’. Fascinating reflections from Sarah on her research with women from West Belfast.

I’m originally from Galway in the west of Ireland and have been living in Glasgow and working at the University of Strathclyde since 2015. In my spare time I like going to gigs, playing bass in a band, holidays, hanging out with my cat Cassie (pictured below), and volunteering at Cats Protection. 🐈
