Having a fantastic time at #SHSConf2025 at the wonderful @bclivingmuseum.bsky.social in Dudley (best conference venue ever). Have heard some excellent papers and got to explore the museum in between. More conferences need to be in living history museums!

Feeling full of life again after seeing Sparks last night in Glasgow. Hard not to feel energised and inspired after seeing Ron and Russell. Amazing gig 🤩

The text reads: Contraception and Modern Ireland is a spectacular book that deserves wide readership. Kelly's awe-inspiring oral histories humanize the people who resisted reproductive coercion with public activism as well as small acts of rebellion. May they remain a source of strength and inspiration for the global reproductive freedom struggle.

I’m originally from Galway in the west of Ireland and have been living in Glasgow and working at the University of Strathclyde since 2015. In my spare time I like going to gigs, playing bass in a band, holidays, hanging out with my cat Cassie (pictured below), and volunteering at Cats Protection. 🐈
