I look forward to listening to the podcast, but birds bursting into flame on the wing adds a level of horror that had never occurred to me, and yet is not unexpected when thought about.

There's always that one person who just has to win harder.

Well, yes, but one would be spraying it on camping equipment, or oneself 😲 as noted in point 8, "How NOT to use it" parks.canada.ca/pn-np/mtn/ou...
Bear spray
Whether you are hiking, picnicking, camping, biking, trail running, or paddling in Parks Canada’s Mountain Parks, carrying bear spray is a good idea.

Fair enough. I was answering your original question as reposted, but have now also checked the thread it was part of. I definitely don't disagree with the main premise of "carrying weapons for protection doesn't actually make one safer."

For most of us, it's protection use only for pepper spray. Mauling and stalking of hikers/campers happens annually in Canada, and while it is only a very small number, nobody wants to be part of that group.

Anti-wildlife in terms of helping prevent an attack, as it isn't 100% effective. I can't see many people looking to tangle with a bear or cougar with just pepper spray. If they're out to torment wildlife, they'd regret it if they were downwind as it is stronger than police strength pepper spray

In Canada we use it as a potential defense against bears and mountain lions when hiking or camping. It's made clear in ads and point of sale that it's not to be used on people.

I wonder what the soldiers in Cyber Command think of this? Not much I bet. I'm guessing that, like me, they understand that you don't need to roll truck tires to be an effective cyber soldier. Even drone operators who are much closer to/at the front in a BBW have more effective things to practice

My first thought when these articles started to trickle out was, "How will it be cooled?" Then I checked the comments for the article 'cause I'm a data nerd. Of the 1st ten, 4 were about cooling, 3 about maintenance, 1 was not on point, and 2 were mocking Musk. Happily unsurpised.

Trolls busy with Wikipedia evidently. The transcript however 😁... From the Reagan Library. www.reaganlibrary.gov/archives/spe... It will be slightly harder to completely "vanish", but save a copy just in case

The world is burning, and you offered that wanna be Mussolini to the south of us to restart the Keystone XL pipeline? That's like pouring gasoline on a fire. No pipelines of any kind.

I'm not a big baseball fan, so I guess we'll find out in the morning. However, Doug Ford said it was going to run over the weekend, so unless it gets pulled by the networks...

I love the whine of drones in the morning. It sounds like victory.
