Games give it the proper respect of calling it localization rather than just translation. But games also pays those people like absolute garbage and is also busy trying to automate it away (hopefully it fails bc it's probably more expensive to run the models than pay humans what they do now)

We're laid off so frequently and in such numbers that I suspect it's just cover for investors who may get scared by restructuring rhetoric. They prob just wanna do layoffs and QA is usually first out the door at larger corps.

Genuinely baffled by what they even think they can automate. They'll already have QA Engineers automating what can be automated. Using genAI on the actual labor of QA is like asking ChatGPT to sew you a dress, and it would 100% cost them less to just pay human laborers.

I really consider the table as the designer of their game sessions. The person writing the rules is crafting the tools to do so, but if the table weren't the ones calling the shots then one would not need to be so persuasive about how they use their tools and why they should follow them.
