The amazing thing about Wolff is that he considers himself so clever because he plays on the vanities of the people he interviews. It doesn't seem to occur to him they are treating him the same way

On a related note, the output deal The CW had with Netflix kept a lot of its superhero shows on the air. Once that was gone, the network in that form was unsustainable

I hope the various journalists involved in this are pressured to explain themselves and their unsettling relationship with Epstein. Wolff is a somewhat different case, because he's always walked that line between journalism & gossip columnist

He has danced around this in recent years, never quite wanting to say what he knows. Sometimes he argues things were said in confidence, or that he wouldn't pass along things he couldn't confirm. I think the truth is he uses info to get access, like a low-grade blackmailer

Not that I have heard. There has been some vague talk about privacy, but mostly from the standpoint of protecting the identity of the men.

I wish you would have asked about the messaging from the eight senators. They could have made this same decision and had messaging which both explained the move and pushed forward the Dem narrative about healthcare costs

The problem is that it's nearly impossible to convince a celebrity to cooperate with a doc if they don't have final control. That's why Netflix ended up with a great Prince doc the estate wouldn't let them release

For its flaws, I appreciate Billy Joel's willingness to not control things in his doc
