I have visited notorious hellholes Swindon and Newcastle in the past couple of weeks. I’m eternally grateful to JD Vance for reminding me to be on my guard and to maintain my vigilance.
Thankfully they have free speech in the US so he can say that kind of thing when we in the UK are silenced.

Crap photo and clearly taken through a window, but I think that is the first sighting of a greenfinch in my back garden for about ten years! There’s a decent flock of gold/green finches nearby but they don’t tend to stray towards the houses on our side, so I am wondering if this is the 1st of many 🤞🏻
