Recently we started the @leverhulme.ac.uk project Memories of China with a visit to the Lady Lever Art Gallery to see William Hesketh Lever’s Chinese porcelain and art collection. Well worth the visit!

For followers from China - Tsinghua University Press is publishing an edition of my CUP book, Corpus Linguistics (written with Andrew Hardie) next year. The book includes explanatory notes in Chinese and quite a bit of text from the original version which was lost due to space constraints.

For reasons that quite escape me, I was invited to a garden party at Buckingham Palace yesterday to celebrate and recognise those working in education and skills. It was a lovely afternoon.
