Happy National Wildlife Protection Day 26 December from Thailand. There are more captive elephants in Thailand than wild elephants (2500-3200 individuals). Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand (WFFT) cares for more than 20 captive elephants rescued from tourist camps and private zoos.

My first time birding in remote deciduous dipterocarp forests around >900 year old Angkorian temples w expert local guide Mott Peou. Fabulous day out in steaming 35 Celsius weather. Recorded >60 species in 7hrs! Great to support local Cambodian conservation organization Sam Veasna Conservation Tours

One glaring inequity that wasn’t adequately addressed at #COP28 .. finding space for wildlife on a planet with 4 billion head of livestock. Reduce eating meat will help!

We r celebrating 2 mo since our 23 WCS, WWF & Panthera rangers fr Malaysia & Indonesia completed a 3 wk Coach Ranger Life Saver training with the fine trainers fr @lead_conservation Delighted to see our rangers applying Field Trauma Care & Practical Instruction. 1st training of its kind for Asia.
